Add new content constantly!

To maintain a high page rank with the search engines, webmasters
need to regularly add new content to their websites.

This won't be an issue for membership site owners, who will have
to add new content frequently just to ensure their members continue to pay their subscription.

A blog is a great way to add content to your site on a regular basis.
Post something on your blog at least once a week, but more often if
possible. Encouraging your members to comment on your blog may give
you ideas for follow up blog posts, and will also increase your search
engine ranking.

Encourage, entice, and even bribe your members to submit content.

Having other people submit content for your site will help to
increase your traffic flow.

Networking the Wrong Way

By Jason Holland

Networking is a great way to establish personal connections with people in your industry, whether you're interested in joint ventures, finding a business partner, seeking funding, or looking for a new job.

But do it wrong and you can burn a lot of bridges. Here are some things you should not do:

Be too vague. Your friend passes on contact information for a consultant that you know will help your business - so you give him a call. But instead of briefly describing your problem and asking for specific advice, you tell a long rambling story and then ask: "Can you help me?"

Prepare for the call by honing your elevator pitch - a one-minute, specific summary of who you are and what you need.

Bombard the contact with "follow up." Let's say you're given contact information for a CEO who's looking for your type of freelance services. Make your pitch with a phone call or by e-mail. Lay out your expertise and tell him what you can do to help him. Then let him carry the ball. Don't send daily e-mails "checking" on the status of the hiring decision. Nagging isn't going to get you the job. If he's interested in you, trust that you will hear from him.

Forget to follow up with the "connector." When you're introduced to a great contact don't forget to say thanks and offer to reciprocate or help in some way.

[Ed. Note: Networking effectively is just one skill you can learn with Unscrew Your Life, Early to Rise's monthly newsletter dedicated to helping you navigate the trials and travails of daily life, whether you're at home, at work, or anywhere in between. Find out more here.]

Working Toward What You Believe In

By Brian Tracy

When you are working progressively, step-by-step, toward something that is important to you, you generate within yourself a continuous feeling of success and achievement.

And it begins with determining what it is you believe in and stand for - your values.

Successful people are successful because they are very clear about their values. Unsuccessful people are fuzzy or unsure. Complete failures have no real values at all.

Clarifying your values is the beginning exercise in building self-confidence, self-esteem, and character. When you take the time to think through your fundamental values, and then commit to living your life consistent with them, you feel a surge of mental strength and well-being. You feel more capable. You feel more centered in the universe and more competent to accomplish the goals you set for yourself.

Here are two things you can do immediately to put this idea into action.

1. Decide for yourself what makes you truly happy, and organize your life around it.

2. Identify your values - what it is you stand for and believe in. Commit to living in a way that's consistent with these innermost convictions... and you'll never make another mistake.

[Ed. Note: You need a flight plan to succeed. But having the plan isn't enough. Like a pilot, you must make course corrections along the way in order to arrive at your destination. With Brian Tracy's Flight Plan, you can discover a how to achieve more, faster than you ever dreamed possible. You also receive 2 BONUS CDS. Learn more here.]

Consider the ready availability of homes in the area.

If you want to buy a home and maximize your profits, avoid buying in an area that is undergoing heavy residential development. The ready availability of homes in the area can actually hurt property values; especially for existing homes; due to the simple laws of supply and demand.

If a home buyer could buy a new home for the same price or less than an existing home, many home buyers would opt for the new home. Avoid buying in an area that is undergoing heavy residential development, unless commercial development is also likely to occur and render the location more desirable.

Put your newfound knowledge into practice and find the perfect home to invest in your future! Fill out one of our Creative Homeowner Solution Requests to get an opportunity to get not only your dream home, but a home that could provide for your kids’ college educations, the upgrades you want to make to the home in ten years or even your retirement!

A Recession Days Underdog That Can Churn Out Steady Cash

Where can you make money these days?

Don't look at the stock market. The Dow's all over the map. May be up one day - but is that real or the dreaded "sucker rally"?

Don't look to your boss. According to a survey by Watson Wyatt Worldwide, 42 percent of employers have instituted a salary freeze - and 14% of those who haven't, plan to do so.

Don't look at the government. They have other worries. I suggest you look at an old standby: the e-mail newsletter.

It can bring in serious ad revenues - even today. Better yet, it can help attract investors looking for safer places than the stock market to stow their money.

Look at DailyCandy.com, which sold to ComCast for $125 million just last fall.

Then there's Thrillist, which is making profits on $5 to $10 million a year.

Start your own Internet business, set up an e-mail newsletter, and you could make $50,000 to $5 million starting this year.

Get the exact blueprint for doing so right now.

Advertising Should Be Simple

Do people really know what you sell?

Do they understand what your Web site
and your marketing material says?

Or is it a lot of words that means
nothing to anyone but you?

The key to marketing success is to quickly
and simply tell people - in plain language - what you do.

Don't be afraid to come right out and ask for referrals.

I used to print up business cards that offered a free lesson to anyone referred by a client. I would just hand a few cards to my clients and say something like, "Here are a few referral cards. Each person you give one to will get a free lesson. Plus, you'll get a $10 discount on one of your own lessons."

There was no pressure. If they didn't want to do it, they didn't feel that they had to. But if they were already inclined to give a referral, this gave them a strong push.

You can be more aggressive too. During my brief stint as a salesperson, for example, I would give people a piece of paper and a pen and ask them to write down the names and phone numbers of at least three other people who might be interested in what I was selling. Virtually everyone wrote down some names.

Whether you take a subtle or aggressive approach, implementing a strong referral program is a must for every small-businessperson - no matter how big your marketing budget it.

7 Steps to Becoming the Best in Your Field

By Michael Masterson

To make this year the year you successfully start a profitable business (or make the business you have already started more profitable than ever), resolve to be the smartest person you know about the business you are in.

It's a bold objective, but it is possible. Here's how to do it:

1. Read the business press voraciously but efficiently. You don't need to spend more than 30 minutes a day on this. Be selective about your reading. Focus on books, articles, and essays that pertain to your industry - primarily the "how-to" pieces. Give preference to authors who've done it themselves as opposed to academics and/or journalists.

2. Supplement your reading by going to seminars and attending conferences. Person-to-person contact is invaluable.

3. Take meaningful correspondence courses. When you find a good home-study program that pertains to your field, don't hesitate to invest some time and money in it.

4. Seek the advice of experts. Write personal notes. Send e-mails.

5. Study the competition, especially companies that are growing. If a competitor is doing well, you can assume he knows at least one important thing about your business that you don't. Do whatever it takes to learn his secret.

6. Network. The more people you know, the better chance you will have to find someone to solve every one of your problems. A big network is also a steady source of opportunity.

7. Be generous with your colleagues and your competitors. When people learn that they do well whenever they work with you, they will be more willing to come to you with opportunities.

There is no limit to the number of new businesses the Internet, with its worldwide reach, can absorb. If you have a product or service that is needed (or simply wanted), you can be successful - and you will be successful if you commit yourself to learning.

A little secret every marketing pro knows‏

Have you ever felt like you were gambling when you made a marketing move?

Maybe you took out an advertisement somewhere...or maybe you didn't because it felt too risky. You could write your ad, and pick a perfect spot to put it, but who knows if it would actually WORK? Would you make the money back that you spent?

Did you know that NOBODY knows the answer to this question right off the bat? Not even the most seasoned marketing experts. Of course, with experience comes a better ability to guess.

But there's a way to take the guesswork out of it. Once I learned about this, I simply haven't been able to not do it. And I've heard the same from countless marketers out there. Why gamble if you don't have to?

The answer? TEST your marketing.

Instead of just taking out one ad and seeing if it works...Takeout a few. And make them different. Then, measure the responses, and you'll be gathering hard, statistical information on what works and what doesn't.

It sounds simple, but once you get into it, you're on to the real power of marketing. You will learn so much from this, I promise. When it comes to email , one of the best things you can look at for learning purposes is how many of your emails were opened, based on a given subject line. After trying a few different subject lines and looking at the percentage that are opened, you will really hone your skills on how to write effective subject lines for a given situation.

The subject line is the most important feature of an email too-- if it isn't any good, the rest of the email won't even be read -- they never opened it!

Establish your expertise

Too often entrepreneurs, struggling to survive, send emails and direct mail pieces simply to promote their products. Now, promoting your products is great. But you need to do a lot more than that with your marketing.

Your marketing messages should be positioning you as a respected authority in your industry.

Be sure to include testimonials, endorsements, and awards your company has won, along with your sales message. Of all the small businesses I've worked with, there's no doubt that the most successful ones have established themselves as experts.

Direct Your Social Networking Traffic Correctly

The traffic that you receive from social networking web sites is very valuable.

This is because the people coming from social networking web sites to your web site already met you and they are checking out your web site to learn more about you.

These are warm leads and you should do as much as you can to help them take the next step with you and subscribe to your newsletter.

We see many professionals directing their social networking traffic incorrectly. They send this traffic to pages on their web sites that contain many different links and options. As a result, the people who come to their web sites from social networking get confused and leave without taking any action.

The solution is to direct your social networking traffic to a squeeze page. Your squeeze page has one goal - to convert your traffic into newsletter subscribers.

When you do this, you will get many more newsletter subscribers and clients from your social networking efforts.

Traffic generation is something that you have to do right...

...in order to get a good response rate. You can receive a lot of
traffic but unless you have a way to find out who is interested
It is largely wasted.

You have probably seen this many times already and if you
are like most you have probably ignored it. For this reason
I am going to repeat it. If you already have your follow up
system in place then you are on the right track. You only
need to have patience and perseverance and it will pay off.

First you really need to have your own list that you have built up
through your own efforts. To do this you need (1) an autoresponder
service (2) a capture page that describes the product that you are
trying to sell. (3) place the capture form for your autoresponder
on that capture page. Don't tell them everything on the capture page.
The capture page should only peak their interest enough to want to
fill out the form to find out more. (4) Make sure you use a redirect
that will send them to the page with more info about the product.

The main product page should also be the one with the payment
processor on it. Only after collecting their information should you
send them to this payment page.

Seldom do you make a sale on the first view. You must have a way
to follow up with those who were interested in your product. For most it
will be the first time they ever see your product and with out a follow
up system you will have lost a valuable lead.

In most cases traffic generation is not the problem.
It is the follow up system that most people don't have
that is the problem.

Most advertising campaigns to around 100,000 will generate about
600 open emails of those only 20 to 40 will actually click on your
link. If you have a capture page you may get as many as few as 3 or
as many as 15 signup's depending on their receptiveness to your sales
message on the capture page. That is also why you need a source of
qualified leads like I get from www.ATicketToWealth.com

If you don't have a capture page you will never have a way to
follow up with these people to make your sale. You can often make a
sale to as little as 15 people from a follow up system with in a
thirty day period versus 1 sale using a campaign to 100,000 leads
during the same 30 day period using the same leads.

Using a follow up system you have a means to have your people
get to know you and gain their trust. Selling to leads is much
more difficult because you don't have their trust and in most
cases they don't know how you got their address in the first place.

Thus...

Building your own list should be first and foremost. You will make
many more sales to your own list than you will ever make to a
partner list or even to a very good list of leads from any supplier.

The Most Important Key to Success

A good program will provide you with the raw materials for achieving your goal - but no one can guarantee that you will actually achieve it.

For instance, an Internet business-building program will give you instructions for setting up a website, starting an e-mail newsletter, and writing sales copy. But the best Internet business-building program in the world won't help you build a million-dollar business unless you put what you learn to work in the real world. You've got to follow those steps for setting up a website and set up a website. You've got to use that copywriting information to write sales copy.

When I started off, I had to invest a lot of time in studying. Did that automatically guarantee that I would make sales? Of course not. I became successful because I took action. I marketed myself. I mastered dozens of sales techniques. I learned my product inside and out.

Taking action may be the most important component of success.

Online Life After Death

Online gaming, message boards, Twitter, blogging... For better or worse, many people live much of their lives on the Internet.

If you're active enough online that you think your presence would be missed by your online friends and followers when you die, do this:

Put together - on a CD, flash drive, or even on paper - a list of log-in information and passwords for the various sites, blogs, games, etc. where you are active. Include instructions, or even a specially tailored message, for each site. It could be a farewell blog post, e-mail, etc. Give this information to a loved one or trusted friend and ask them to "close out" your online accounts in the event of your demise.

The HEART of internet marketing is...

LIST BUILDING

If, you're not building a list...YOU WASTING YOUR TIME.

That's right.

Like I've said for YEARS ...

THE PROGRAMS DON'T MATTER... not really.

Here's my point...

ALL programs are good if you know how to marketand build a list.

And ALL programs (every single one) are BAD if you do NOT know how to market and build a list...

But it's funny, how through the years people just have a funny way of "not hearing" that...

It's the blatant hype and incessant mis-information that they get bombarded with that throws them off the trail every single time and they end up joining this and that, and every program under the sun thinking...

"THIS ONE WILL BE DIFFERENT"

And it might be... (for others who have a list) but not for the people who REFUSE to submit to FUNDAMENTAL marketing principles and are always looking for the next shortcut...

Do YOU realize what a TREMENDOUS opportunity YOU have with the Home Seller Assist program, IF ONLY, you do NOT keep doing what everyone else is doing?

Imagine... if you KNEW WITHOUT A DOUBT, that if you set yourself up to market different than they do... (they is "the masses")

If you did NOT bite on the next hyped up "do it all for you" LIE (program) that landed in your inbox...And instead... you were patient (like I was)

And you BUILD YOUR LIST
and deliver valuable content to the people in your list...

Do you realize how FAR AHEAD OF THE GAME you'd be?

When people ask me, how or what I did to be able to send out

emails that turn into money...

"Where'd you get your traffic" "How'd you write your emails?"

Individually the type of traffic didn't matter.(I use all kinds of garbage traffic and free traffic and it all works for me)

Individually the emails don't matter.(I use all kinds of emails: training emails, promo emails, and they all work)

Individually the pieces DO NOT MATTER.

What matters is the SYSTEM and the RELATIONSHIPS
that are built when the pieces are used TOGETHER as a cohesive system

of traffic generation, list building, and relationship/trust building.

Branding yourself all over the internet for the sake of branding yourself all over the internet DOES NOT MATTER!

Same goes for just promoting the "guru" on your system...
(huh? - yep I'll tell you why later)

IF what your'e saying is NOT resonating or adding value to your target prospects... NOTHING WILL WORK. It's the WHOLE approach.

"This doesn't sound so simple any more Toto!"

Well, hold on... don't buy that one way ticket back

to Kansas just yet(unless you really live there)

It IS SIMPLE.

But to understand how simple it is, you need to FIRST

understand the WHOLE, BIG PICTURE...

This is why the vast majority of online or "from home"

marketers are failing, no matter what programs they join...

People that "get this" have NO PROBLEM promoting ANY PROGRAM.

Their frustration is that they can't get their teams to

duplicate. (whole other story for another movie, but

we've got something for you too leader!)

So they reach out and find WHATEVER system or training

sounds good enough to send their teams into so they can keep

doing what they know how to do... MARKET AND SELL AND MAKE $$$

If you've paid ANY AMOUNT of attention before to what I've

been training you to do about building your own LIST...

NOW IS THE TIME TO CREATE A SUB-LIST!

Tonight.

Call it...

"SurpriseList" or something...

And let your members know that what's coming in my

new and improved"Free Training" will REALLY BE GOOD

and it will BENEFIT them to be one of the first to take

a look when I start sending it out...

I KNOW EXACTLY what marketers are looking for and what

they would appreciate greatly in this industry...

1. New Marketers... they want and need and APPRECIATE certain

services and training and if YOU are the one that leads them to it...

they will be FIERCELY LOYAL to you...

2. Experienced Marketers... (they can be tricky, depending on ego issues)

But by and large they need a distinct set of tools, resources and assistance

that lets them continue to be the "Good Leader" at the same time tapping

into "refreshing" amounts of automation and leverage so they can keep

focused on building... and have their teams happy and loyal and productive

(right leaders?)

So anyway...That's all I'm going to say for now.

But here's what you want to do...

1. Create a sublist. Let your prospects know that your

team is up to something crazy but it sounds like it's going

to be really good and it would be a good idea to be the first

to actually take a look.

2. Keep building your list.

Build that list.

Enjoy the family. Be the BEST at your work so you can

build something of your own on the side WITHOUT being

too stressed out about it...

And stay tuned in... this will only take me a couple more weeks...

and you'll really like what you see...

All the best,
